M E Brown Air Conditioning Company LLC

At the recommendation of a friend and fellow customer, Ive now had two interactions with M.E. Brown. Both times the technicians (David and Wes) have been professional, friendly and exceedingly helpful. I plan to use the company for a major HVAC redesign in my home and feel totally confident that the job will be done correctly and at a fair price.

I was having an issue with my furnace igniting. I had 2 different HAVC guys come out to fix it. The 1st guy thought it was a valve that was supplying the gas and was going to come back and replace it. He never came back and didnt return my call. The 2nd guy from a very large and well advertised company put an ignition kit(stricker unit and heat sensor) on it and added an unnecessary ground wire attached to the pipe because he said it wasnt grounded properly. That didnt fix it. Then he said he pulled a code that indicated that it was the motherboard (very expensive fix). I lost faith in that guy and sent him on his way. I found ME Brown Air-conditioning and saw they had great reviews. David showed up on time, removed the crazy ground wire that the 2nd guy put on after determining the original ground was fine. He then found that the heat sensor that was installed was touching the metal near the flame because it wasnt the correct oem sensor and it was intalled at an angle to make it fit. He installed the correct sensor and tightened the in-coming gas line that 1 of those 2 guys probably loosened and didnt tighten back up. My heater is back up and running. This is how ME Brown left my 75 year old mother-in-law’s air conditioning condenser unit after servicing it. Actually this is a huge safety hazard as there are exposed electrical components that a child could come in contact with.I do have to say ME Brown was very prompt in rectifying this issue and I understand human mistakes happen. After this issue I recognize ME Brown stands behind their work and that is respectable.

From start to finish they were totally awesome! Even dealing with shutting them in the attic so mom in a wheelchair could roll down the hall. They cleaned daily before leaving so no messes were left. The first day was just over 12 hours. Replacing the unit meant taking one apart first, removing all of it then bringing parts for the new one and putting it all together. They didnt leave until we had air. Our 30 year old unit was installed by them also so we look forward to many years with the new one as well.

These guys did an awesome job. Our system broke during the pandemic! They were quick to respond; even lent us a window unit to keep us cool until they could get to our repair. My old AC was borked (had a leaked condenser coil) so the unit had trouble cooling. It couldnt pull moisture out so imagine 60 some percent humidity despite 70 some degree weather in late March. Im proud to say the reward outweigh the risk. David came out to diagnose the system and was thorough with his diagnosis. ME Brown Air Conditioning is the best! They are family owned and are professional, honest and reasonable. I have been using them for 18 years. I would not consider using anyone else. When I first bought this house, I had a leak in the hall from the AC. I had a company quote me almost $800. My neighbor suggested I call ME Brown. Mark Brown came and repaired it for $76. I’ve been with them since.

Responded same day I called. Arrived on time. Kept house very clean. Diagnosed and repaired. All very efficient. Only minor complaint is: My AC drain line was backed up. Technician Lex fixed it very efficiently. It would have been nice if he had vacuumed up the water that was sitting in the drain pan.

Called on. Friday morning in need of HVAC service. HVAC had quit cooling during the night. ME Brown responded to our need sending a service representative first thing this morning. He was polite and very knowledgeable. He identified the reason our HVAC system was not cooling properly. The required part for the HVAC repair was on the technicians service truck . The technician was able to get our HVAC working correctly in pretty short order.Cool air = happy wife, priced fairly = a very happy husband!

I highly recommend this company for your AC services. If you are looking for the cheapest, then more than likely this will not be the company for you. However, quality of work, understanding the project and service, FAR outweigh a couple of thousand dollars to me. So, if you are like me, then these are your people.

This family owned business is professional, personable, and just overall amazing. They call you back right away and keep you updated. Our A/C unit was not working on an area of the home, they came out THAT SAME DAY to check things out. They did not leave until the issue was resolved!They are patient and explain the issue and solution in a very clear way without being condescending. Mark Brown installed the AC system when our house was built in 1990, and theyve been good to us every year since. Mark is retired now and his sons David and Wes are carrying on the business with the same professional standards, quality, and value.David came to the house for the Spring Tune Up as the heat feels like 100+ degrees outside today. Everything checked out fine. Drain tablets added to evaporator, water cleaning of the condenser coil, refrigerant added.David also checked out the diagnosis of our system done by another firm associated with TXU Energy in May. We responded to an email from TXU re a free diagnosis of our AC system which sounded like TXU was checking homes for energy efficiency, AC functions, etc.While the gentlemen from the other firm were polite and considerate to my elderly mother, they were trying to sell a lot of things we do not need. Beware of this TXU-associated marketing program. Imagine that in some cases, people unquestionably need to repair, or replace their AC systems, but we do not, and several of the recommendations made by that firm were not true. David Brown took photos to prove that to us.My recommendation to anyone reading this review is to call M E Brown Air Conditioning for the best service, professional knowledge, and honesty. Love ya’ll usually but today the tech blocked my driveway. I had to wait for 15 minutes for him to move. We couldn’t reach him in the attic bc he didn’t properly close the elevator door so it was inoperable from other floors. He couldn’t hear us and we couldn’t get to him. So frustrating as I was in a hurry. He also said there wasn’t a place to park other than where he did🥹really?!! There’s a whole street on which to park. Plz be mindful next time.
